BSA Statement Regarding Murder By Deported Felon in Tucson
Phoenix, AZ — Border Security Alliance President Jobe Dickinson released the following statement regarding the recent murder and criminal actions in Tucson, Arizona by Julio Aguirre, a deported felon with a prior conviction for trafficking illegal drugs. He was deported from the United States in 2013 after serving time in prison:
“Earlier this week, residents in Tucson, Arizona experienced unimaginable terror as a previously deported felon wreaked havoc on the community targeting innocent individuals for hours through armed home invasions and carjackings resulting in the murder of an innocent man.
The criminal activity and murder that occurred by a previously deported felon is a heartbreaking and unfortunate reminder of the importance of strong immigration enforcement policies that not only deport criminals but keep them from reentering the United States.
Decades of inaction and weak border policies by prior administrations have created this dangerous environment we face today. We applaud President Donald Trump for his commitment to ridding our communities of dangerous, criminal illegal immigrants.”
